This award is found by JSPS and Department of
Science Technology, India (DST) for development of collaborations
amang the both countries in the field of physical chemistry.
The name is commemorating Prof.
San-ichiro Mizushima and Prof. Chandrasekhara Raman, both
of who are giants in physical chemistry. Usually, the laureates
in Japan and India give a memorial lectures in Indian Chemical
Meeting and Annual Meeting of Molecular Science, respectively.
On this time, Prof. Masuhara gave a commemorative lecture at
12th CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry held in Indian Institute
of Chemical Technology(IICT) during Febrary 5-7. |

Laser Bio Nano Science Laboratory
〜New Bio Nano Science by Laser〜
Intense laser irradiation leads to unordinary phenomena
such as optical trapping, ablation, shockwave generation, and so
on. When laser is focused on biological and organic materials, these
phenomena make it possible to for manipulate biological cell and
proteins with small amount. We are investigating and understanding
these behaviors as molecular events on the basis of our extensive
photochemistry studies. Our goal is to contribute to developments
in new bio nano-science and bio nano-technology through these studies.
