GIST-NCTU-NAIST International Joint Symposium 2016: Forum on Interdisciplinary Research for Development of Advanced Materials
Date: November 28-December 2, 2016
Place: Department of Materials Science, NAIST, Nara, Japan
The 7th GIST-NCTU-NAIST (GNN) International Joint Symposium — Forum on Interdisciplinary Research for Development of Advanced Materials — will be held in the coming November at NAIST in Nara, Japan. The NAIST organizing committee members cordially welcome you to participate in this joint symposium.
The GNN symposium series have been held every year at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, Korea), National Chiao-Tung University (NCTU, Taiwan)and Nara institute of Science and Technology (NAIST, Japan) in order to develop academic exchange between the three universities.
Since this year marks the third time round for this symposia series, the focus of contributions will shift more towards the students and their oral presentations. several lectures given by professors from the three universities will also be included in the program, however the aim of this symposium is to help students develop their communication skills, exchange views on research with fellow graduate students, and develop ties between the three universities. Towards this aim, we will accept ten oral talks from students and two invited lectures from faculty members from each institute. Furthermore, students from GIST and NCTU will have the opportunity for short lab-stay experiences with research groups of NAIST for two days after the symposium period.
We cordially appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation in the 7th GNN symposium.
