凝縮系物性学研究室のXin Tan Liangさん(博士前期課程2年)がInternational Symposium of Surface Science 8においてBest Poster Awardを受賞

2017年10月22日から26日にかけて開催されたInternational Symposium of Surface Science 8において、凝縮系物性学研究室のXin Tan Liangさん(博士前期課程2年)がBest Poster Awardを受賞しました。同賞は382件の講演のうち、特に優れた講演を行った16名に対して授与されました。

This award is nevertheless shared by everyone who assisted me with my research and I will use this opportunity to credit the personnel involved. The first person whom I have in mind is no other than my supervisor Prof. Daimon who has been offering me an almost immeasurable amount of advices and supports in my research. I have to offer my utmost gratitude to all members of the SPring-8 division, the Taiyo-2 division and the VUV-PES (Scienta) division of Surface and Materials Science Laboratory which are led by Asst. Prof Taguchi, Assc. Prof. Hattori and Asst. Prof. Takeda respectively and also the Green Nanosystem Laboratory members headed by Assc. Prof Matsui. Moreover, I am also thankful for the assistance of our collaborators from Institute for Solid State Physics, Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute (JASRI), RIKEN and CAU Kiel.

The presentation outlines the current progress on the realization of time-resolved X-ray Photoelectron Diffraction (tr-XPD). Time-resolved photoelectron diffraction expands the technique of XPD with an additional dimension of time together with all of the advantages of its precursor including atomic level three-dimensional structural analysis (holography), site- and state- specific probe, and surface sensitivity. Via tr-XPD, we will have access to study the local dynamics of various materials which is believed to be cornerstone for the understanding of active sites. The presentation shows the reference result from a wide angle of acceptance analyzer, Display-type Spherical Mirror Analyzer (DIANA), and a high energy resolution XPD from DELMA (Display-type Ellipsoidal Mesh Analyzer) coupled with a commercial Scienta R4000 energy filter. Other than that, it also outlines the upcoming XPD experiment with time-resolved setup using Hard-X-ray synchrotron light source.
