About Nanotechnology Platform

"The Nanotechnology Platform Japan" is a 10-year project started in 2012 on the policy of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT,Japan). The mission is to establish a reliable research infrastructure network (i.e., Platform) for scientific innovation through an alliance of institutes and universities with cutting edge equipment and research know-hows. This program promotes advanced researchers to share the use of those equipment, and provides the shortest way to give the solutions in their science and technology research. 36 service groups are joined from 25 institutes and universities all over Japan based on three technological categories (Molecule and Material Synthesis, Advanced Characterization and Nanofabrication). NAIST is active as a member of the Molecule and Material Synthesis (M&MS) group, and here NAIST-Nanotechnology Platform (NAIST-NP) is going to open its service to international collaborative researches.
