Relationship of phase shift mask design and three-dimension nanostructure fabrication
CommentFirst and foremost, I would like to humbly express my sincere gratitude toward Prof. Yukiharu Uraoka and Assoc. Prof. Yasuaki Ishikawa for their kind guidance and advice. This work could not be completed without support from the Material Science technical staff, and the Information Device Science laboratory staff and members. It is my honor to receive this award and I really appreciate this honor. This award is an excellent motivation-booster that will encourage me to continue doing my very best at the Information Device Science laboratory.
Research detailHe proposed a method for forming three-dimensional nanostructures with the aim of realizing a thermoelectric conversion element that is attracting attention as one of the clean energies. In order to increase the efficiency of the thermoelectric conversion element, it is necessary to reduce the thermal conductivity of the material. He proposed a new manufacturing method called PnP using laser light, and demonstrated by simulation (theoretical calculation) that thermal conductivity can be controlled by introducing a three-dimensional nanostructure.
