Chiral nanoparticles
Chiral nanoparticles including quantum dots (QDs) and nanoclusters (NCs) are developed through the design of surface ligand molecules.
Enantioselective synthesis of intrinsically chiral QDs
Angew. Chem. Ind. Ed., 2018, 57, 12022-12026.
Cinnabar (HgS) are one of the famous mineral or semiconductors possessing chiral atomic arrangement in their most stable crystal structure. We are working on the controlloed synthesis of HgS nanoparticles with selective handedness of crystalline core through the design of surface coordination structure of ligand molecules.
Chiral silver nanoclusters
Chem. Sci., 2020, 11, 2394-2400.
We explored that Ag29 NCs with bidentate ligands possess chiral structure. Enantioselective synthesis, chirality enhancement, and chirality inversion in the synthesis of Ag29 are studied.
Self-assembly of anisotropic QDs
ACS Nano, 2017, 11, 9312-9320.
Surface of QDs with anisotropic structures are modified to be amphiphilic. The amphiphilic QDs self-assembe into super structures in water through hydrophobic effect.
